We may also receive information from authorised booking, payment, ecommerce, analytics, security and communications service providers.
Why we process personal information
We process personal information where it is necessary to:

- provide safe, appropriate and personalised aesthetic or healthcare services;
- process orders, deliveries, payments, refunds and customer support;
- maintain clinical, financial, tax and business records required by law or professional obligations;

Our processing is based on consent where required, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of legitimate interests, or another lawful basis permitted by POPIA. You may withdraw consent for future consent-based processing at any time, without affecting processing already undertaken lawfully.
Health and special personal information
Health information requires additional protection. Where such information is processed, we limit access to authorised personnel and service providers who need it for treatment, administration, legal compliance or another authorised purpose. Clinical information is handled in accordance with applicable healthcare, professional and record-keeping obligations.
Online bookings, payments and ecommerce
Online booking buttons may direct you to Health Access. Product purchases may use WooCommerce and third-party payment providers such as PayFast. These providers process information under their own privacy notices and security practices. Dr Lanie Aesthetics does not intend to store full payment-card details on this website.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use essential cookies for website functionality, security, shopping carts and logged-in sessions, as well as analytics or preference technologies where enabled. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where reasonably practicable.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Where required by law, affected individuals and the Information Regulator will be notified of a qualifying security compromise.
Your rights

- request correction, updating, deletion or destruction of information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained;

- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

Direct marketing
We will send electronic marketing only where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe using the option provided in a message or by contacting us. Service messages relating to bookings, orders or care are not marketing communications.

Our services and products are not directed at children acting without a parent or legal guardian. Where information about a child is required for an authorised service, it will be processed with appropriate consent or another lawful basis.
